Remembrance Day

Remembrance Days

Don’t mind me too much son,
Just pour another one
Tonight’s a night where I think I’ll stay a while

In a few hours, don’t mind what I say…I’ll be
back in a louder place…
when the sky was black and grey from the bombs, the bombs, the bombs

and I know it’s getting late,
and you need to close the place…and I
know you’ve heard these Scars before, before, before

but see I’ve got nowhere to go…
and I’m so sick of being home alone, and I
never hear a friend on the phone, anymore anymore anymore

For you…it’s Remembrance Day
But for the ones that were there, it comes every day
Day in day out it’s all the same
No matter what you say or how many prayers are prayed

Don’t mind me too much son,
please pour another one
Tonight’s a night where I think I need to stay a while

Please God understand…why I
took so many of them…I was
On the side that won, overthere, overthere, overthere

For you…it’s Remembrance Day
But for the ones that were there, it comes every day
Day in day out it’s all the same
No matter what you say or how many prayers are prayed

Don’t mind me too much son,
Just pour another one
Tonight’s a night where I think I’ll stay a while
